knowledge of hikers and backpackers in Louisiana by offering classes,
seminars and other educational resources

trails

Our
member backpacking and dayhiking trips range from short excursions
into: Louisiana's Kisatchie
National Forest along the Wild Azalea and
Backbone trails; Mississippi's Clark
Creek Natural Area and Clear
Springs Trail; to trips of more than 100 miles along Arkansas'
Ozark Highlands Trail. Other hikes include: the Ouachita and
Pinhoti trails; and Alabama's Sipsey Wilderness.
Members of the club often coordinate club hiking or backpacking trips to destinations such as:
• Smokey Mountains National Park
